Parking Lot Procedures - REVIEW
AM Drop Off - Students may begin exiting cars at 7:25
Drop off in the front of school is for students of all grade levels. Students need a parent to escort them across the crosswalk from the parking lot if you decide to park…they may no longer walk through the lot unattended.
The back of the school drop off will be for students in grades 3-8 and siblings who can easily get themselves out of the car without assistance.
Please note that cars may not enter from Chesterfield Airport Road!
To assist with keeping the lane moving efficiently for all, please make sure your students are ready to promptly exit the car on arrival. We also kindly ask that you always pull all the way forward.
Follow the specific instructions below for each of the drop off locations to assist in maintaining a safe environment for all. Student safety is of utmost importance, so please drive slowly through the lot at all times. Drivers should wait for the signal from a staff member prior to moving forward once students have exited cars.
Cars Entering from Baxter Road
- Cars should enter the lot following the green arrows from Baxter Road and drop off students from the right side of the car only.
- Students will walk up the car line to the entrance of the school.
- Cars will then exit the lot past the backside of the church and exit to the right or left via the Wildhorse Creek Road or Chesterfield Airport Road exit.
**Please DO NOT pass cars waiting for drop off to enter the lot using the oncoming traffic lane. This creates a very dangerous situation.
Cars Entering from Wildhorse Creek Road - Grades 3-8 ONLY*
*This includes siblings who are able to get themselves out of the car without assistance.
- Cars should enter the lot following the blue arrows from Wildhorse Creek Road and pull through the back of the school for drop off.
- Students should exit from the right side of the vehicle only.
- Cars will exit to the left back out onto the Wildhorse exit.
- PLEASE REVIEW WITH YOUR CHILD(REN) THAT THEY SHOULD REMAIN ON THE SIDEWALK. WE HAVE SUPERVISION AS WELL.
- STUDENTS CANNOT BE DROPPED OFF IN THE PARKING LOT.
PM Pickup - First Pickup
Families that have signed up for the first pick up should arrive prior to 2:55, as the lot will be blocked off at that time. All cars are to be placed in park and remain in park until dismissal begins and may not move until prompted to do so. THE LOT CLOSES AT 2:55 IN PREPARATION FOR DISMISSAL. CARS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ONTO THE LOT FOR FIRST DISMISSAL AFTER THIS TIME.
Parking off campus will not be permitted. All pickups need to occur in the Ascension parking lot in designated spaces. The J may not be used.
RED SPOTS - Numbered H1, H2, M1, M2, 70-97, H3-H7, 209-219, and 194-208
- Cars in these spots should be parked facing the church and school.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given for these cars to follow the red lines/arrows and exit via the Baxter Road exit. Please do not cut through the yellow or green areas to exit the lot.
YELLOW SPOTS - Numbered 0-69
- Cars in these spots should be parked facing the school.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given for these cars to exit via the Wildhorse Creek Road exit following the yellow arrows.
- Each aisle will be dismissed in order, so please wait for your signal to exit.
BLUE SPOTS - Numbered 98-193
- Cars in these spots should be parked facing the church.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given for these cars to follow the exit via the Chesterfield Airport Road exit following the green arrows.
- Each aisle will be dismissed in order, so please wait for your signal to exit.
ORANGE SPOTS - Numbered 301-321 and 363-371
- Cars in spots 301-306 should be parked facing the field.
- Cars in spots 307-321 should be parked facing the church.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given for these cars to follow the exit via the Chesterfield Airport Road exit following the green arrows.
- Each aisle will be dismissed in order, so please wait for your signal to exit.
GREEN SPOTS - Numbered 322-362
- Cars in spots 322-339 should be parked facing the field.
- Cars in spots 340-362 should be parked facing the church.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given for these cars to follow the exit via the Wildhorse Creek Road exit following the green arrows.
- Each aisle will be dismissed in order, so please wait for your signal to exit.
PM Pickup - Second Pickup
Cars will not be allowed onto the parking lot for 2nd Pick Up until all cars from the 1st Pick Up have exited the lot. When the lot opens please drive SLOWLY to the main parking area.
- Cars should be parked facing the school. Please do NOT back into spots as this may create a safety concern.
- Please do not park in any “Faculty” spots in the first row, even if there are spaces available.
- If you pull in after students have already been released to cars, please remain at the back of the lot and only pull forward after other cars have excited the lot.
- When the parking lot is free of students a signal will be given by staff for the first car to begin to exit via the Baxter Road exit following the red arrows following the lead car.
- Each aisle will be dismissed in order, so please wait for your signal to exit.
CARS MAY NOT ENTER THE LOT FOR SECOND DISMISSAL FROM THE CHESTERFIELD AIRPORT ROAD/HILL ENTRANCE
